To promote Wednesday's All-Star game hosted by the Joliet Slammers, 1,000 fans will receive a replica of the old Joliet prison.

JOLIET, IL - Wednesday's All-Star Game festivities in downtown Joliet will include a giveaway that you'll never find anywhere else. The Joliet Slammers are furnishing replicas of the old Joliet prison on Collins Street to the first 1,000 fans. Gates to the 2017 All-Star Game at Slammers Stadium open at 6:05 p.m. and the game begins at 7:05 p.m.

"The old Joliet Prison is an iconic structure that has international recognition from its depiction in the Blues Brothers and other movies," said Steve Jones, Joliet's economic development director. "We could not think of a better giveaway for the many visitors who will come to the community to enjoy the All-Star game events."

The city of Joliet and Joliet Area Historical Museum sponsored the promotion.
