Minooka Man Commits Domestic Violence At Motel 6 Along Mall Loop Drive: Joliet Police

JOLIET, IL — A 45-year-old man from Minooka is now lodged in the Will County Jail following his Joliet police arrest over the weekend at the Motel 6 near I-55.

According to police spokesman Dwayne English, at 1:02 a.m. on Sunday, the officers responded to the Motel 6 at 3551 Mall Loop Drive for a domestic disturbance. He said that officers that a man identified as Mark Berrospe had struck a woman in the face multiple times while both were in a guest room.

Officers were unable to locate Berrospe at this
time. The victim was evaluated at the scene by Joliet Fire Department paramedics. Officers placed Berrospe into custody later on Sunday morning after it was reported that he had
returned to the motel.

English noted that Berrospe was charged with domestic battery and processed at the Joliet Police Department and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
