One episode will examine the concept of evil, which is what brought Freeman to the correctional facility, according to the Tribune. Neuroscientist Kent Kiehl is working with Freeman’s production company on the episode.
“Dr. Kiehl has begun to reveal how mental illness can be treated and, more importantly, caught early before it manifests as criminal behavior,” show associate producer Brandon Fibbs wrote to the Tribune in an email. “We are interested in raising awareness about the fact that there may be a way to help people like Mr. Dugan before they harm others.”
The series is set to air in the middle of next year.
