JOLIET, IL — MorningStar Mission Ministries, Inc. has hired Erin Shade as the new director of development. According to the Joliet non-profit organization that helps Joliet's homeless population, Shade brings more than two decades of fundraising experience to MorningStar Mission, having served in multiple development roles at Wheaton College and has consulted with and worked for several nonprofit organizations throughout her career.

Since 1909, MorningStar Mission Ministries, Inc., a non-denominational organization, said it has been dedicated to relieving the spiritual and physical hunger of the poor. Our programs, services and outreach are developed for people who have come to the point in life where it is time for a change. Together, we help orchestrate that change. We do this by providing food, clothing, housing, recovery counseling and guidance, and more.

MorningStar Mission offers emergency shelters for men and women, the Family Center, the Day Drop-In Center to stay warm/cool, and our East Side Café dining room in Joliet that serves an average of 2,000 meals per week.
