Morris Man Huffing On Route 59 Arrested By Joliet PD: Police

Shane Valentine, age 34, was then placed into custody without incident, according to the Joliet police.

JOLIET, IL — Joliet police officers made a rare huffing arrest in connection with criminal charges of using intoxicating compounds. Wednesday's incident happened during the daytime along one of Joliet's busiest thoroughfares, Route 59.

According to police spokesman Dwayne English:

Shane Valentine, a 34-year-old man from Morris, was arrested and later released on an I-Bond.

At 10:55 a.m., the Joliet officers were called to the 1400 block of Route 59 for a report of a man who may be overdosing from use of an unknown substance.

Officers arrived and found Valentine on the east side of the roadway. Valentine was found to be in possession of cans of compressed air, and it is believed Valentine was using the cans to huff the compressed air.

Valentine was then placed into custody without incident.
