Mother And Son Drug Dealers Also Had Gun, Taser: Joliet PD
Joliet Police Department's SWAT team raided the house in the 400 block of South Desplaines Street, which isn't far from the police station.

JOLIET, IL — A 44-year-old Joliet man from the 500 block of Water Street and his 62-year-old mother were arrested at her house in the 400 block of South Des Plaines Street after Joliet police say they raided the house and seized heroin, cocaine, marijuana, plus a taser and a gun.
The Joliet police SWAT team raided the Harris house around 7:25 a.m. on Saturday. The 44-year-old Cedric Harris was hauled away in handcuffs, charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, two counts of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, No FOID and obstructing justice.
As for his 62-year-old mother, Cynthia Harris-Lanners, she's charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, No FOID and obstructing justice.

According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English:
- Following an extensive investigation by the Joliet Police Department Narcotics and Tactical Units, members of these units and the Joliet Police Department Special Operations Squad executed a search warrant at a house in the 400 block of South Desplaines Street on Saturday morning.
- Inside, officers recovered a gun and ammunition, a taser, various amounts of suspected cocaine, heroin, and cannabis, and a large amount of cash.
- Cedric Harris and his mother, Cynthia Harris-Lanners, were in the house at the time of the search warrant and were placed into custody without incident.
Will County Jail records show that bail for Cedric Harris was set at $250,000 while bail for his mother was set at $50,000. She was released from custody on Sunday night after posting 10 percent of her bail, jail logs reflect.
