Motorcycle Fatality In Joliet: Suzuki Rider Dies At Age 20
One of the two female passengers in the Ford Edge sustained life-threatening injuries, Joliet police revealed.

JOLIET, IL — The 20-year-old driver of a Suzuki motorcycle died late Friday night following a crash at the intersection of Northeast Frontage Road and Pandola Avenue. One of the passengers in the Ford Edge involved in the crash also suffered life-threatening injuries, according to Joliet police.
The Will County Coroner's Office revealed that the motorcycle victim was Tyler Gallo, who comes from suburban Willow Springs.
Gallo's wreck happened at 11:11 p.m.

Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said the following events occurred Friday night:
- The 20-year-old Gallo was driving a Suzuki motorcycle northbound on Northeast Frontage Road approaching Pandola Avenue when his motorcycle struck the passenger side of a Ford Edge driven by a 69-year-old man.
- The senior citizen was turning onto eastbound Pandola Avenue from southbound Northeast Frontage Road.
- Gallo was thrown from the motorcycle following the collision.
- Joliet's Fire Department rushed the 20-year-old to St. Joe's hospital, and that's where he died.
- Two women passengers in the Ford Edge were also rushed by Joliet Fire Department ambulances to the same hospital, and one suffered life-threatening injuries.
- The driver of the Ford Edge and another man who was a passenger were uninjured.
- The roadway was closed for numerous hours while the crash scene was reconstructed.
- Joliet police are investigating the circumstances of the deadly motorcycle wreck.
