Mugshots Of 16 Arrested In Joliet Police Illegal Gun, Cocaine Bust

Tuesday's police sweep involved Joliet Police, ATF, Will County State's Attorney's Office and Metropolitan Area Narcotics Squad.

JOLIET, IL - Will County State's Attorney James Glasgow used Tuesday's press conference at the Joliet Police Department to send a message to Joliet-area gangs that police are out in full force, continuing to bust up dopers and gang bangers. At the event, Glasgow unveiled several of the semi-automatic guns that were confiscated during the police raids that began around 6 a.m. A total of 16 arrest warrants were issued and police seized 31 illegal guns and more than 200 grams of cocaine.

"Multi-jurisdictional sweeps like the one conducted today greatly expand the ability of law enforcement to defuse gang activity while taking illegal weapons and narcotics off our streets," Glasgow said.

Glasgow's staff distributed to the press details about the 16 people who were being charged with felony crimes as a direct result of Tuesday's police raids. Joliet Patch compiled this list, starting with Jay Nink, who faces the highest bond, $1 million.
