"Both had suffered injuries caused by a knife," Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English noted.
Detectives believed that both victims were stabbed following an altercation with a man inside the bar. A 50-year-old man was also struck in the face by the killer, who ran off before the Joliet police cars arrived to the crime.
"During an extensive investigation of this incident, Detectives identified Jose Aguilar-Moreno as the suspect," English announced.
On Tuesday, Aguilar-Moreno was placed into custody after police found him at his residence in the 500 block of Francis Street, which is listed as an apartment unit in the jail logs.
The Will County State's Attorney’s Office has approved one charge of first-degree murder, Joliet police indicated.
