CREST HILL, IL — Although Crest Hill police have made no arrests in connection with this past week's shooting death of a 31-year-old man in the 1100 block of Elizabeth Court, Police Chief Ed Clark said the investigators are making considerable progress in trying to identify the killer.

Clark also said that the slaying of Lockport Township victim Uarl Hunter appears to be a targeted killing, not a random act of violence.

Will County Coroner Laurie Summers announced on Monday that Hunter was pronounced dead at St. Joe's hospital and that he suffered multiple gunshots. His death is considered a homicide.
