MyGrain Brewing: Lupulin City Pineapple Milkshake IPA Unveiled
Starting at 4 p.m., Friday, July 31, MyGrain Brewing Company in downtown Joliet's historic Union Station adds its 13th beer to the menu.

JOLIET, IL — On the last day of July, just in time for the weekend, downtown Joliet's MyGrain Brewing Company unveiled its 13th beer, Lupulin City Pineapple Milkshake IPA. MyGrain's latest micro beer will be available for patrons starting at 4 p.m. Friday.
Co-owner Vincent Turrise told Joliet Patch's editor that supplies of Lupulin pineapple are limited. He expects to have enough in stock to perhaps last three weeks.
"It's a perfect patio sipper for outside or the perfect beer to get a crowler and sit out by the pool," Turrise told Patch on Friday afternoon just hours before opening.

Turrise told Joliet Patch he is excited to unveil the Lupulin pineapple milkshake IPA brew in the middle of summer. The alcohol concentration is 7.3 percent. The beer includes a massive dose of pineapple plus lactose, he said.

"It's a very limited quantity," he said. "We should have enough for the next few weekends."
Joliet's largest microbrewery has 6,594 Facebook likes, 6,862 followers and 8,839 customer check-ins on Facebook. During the pandemic, MyGrain is staying open 4 to 8 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, noon to 8 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
MyGrain also has a full kitchen, and you can look at the menu at the bottom of this article. MyGrain offers outdoor patio dining, indoor dining and takeout orders.
Nowadays, MyGrain Brewing beer is available at 120 area bars, liquor stores and sit-down restaurants in the Will County region including Joliet's Heroes West and Burger Theory, Plainfield's Moe Joe's and Craft'd and Crest Hill's JC Catchers Tap on North Center Street.
The new Lupulin pineapple milkshake beer is only available this week in downtown Joliet. It's $7 for a 12-oz draft and $15 for a 32-oz crowler, Turrise said.
Turrise encourages people to visit MyGrain Brewing this weekend. His outdoor patio overlooking Jefferson Street seats 55 to 60 guests. People can also eat and drink inside the restaurant.
"We're being extremely cautious," Turrise stressed. "We've added hand-sanitizing stations. We have masks that are for sale, and our staff is wearing masks and gloves at all times. We're being extremely cautious.
"I'm personally cleaning the place every single day to make sure it's wiped down."
