Nearly Million-Square-Foot Warehouse Under Construction Near Joliet
A mid-2017 completion date is planned.
JOLIET, IL — A new 992,640-square-foot warehouse is set to begin construction this week near Joliet.
The warehouse, which currently does not have any tenants lined up, will be built at State Route 53 and Millsdale Road, according to a report from Crain’s Chicago Business.
The Texas-based Hillwood real estate development firm is planning on a mid-2017 completion date.

Hillwood also built a 746,772-square-foot warehouse that was leased by Amazon.
"We had very good luck with the first building in Joliet," Hillwood senior vice president and market leader for Chicago Don Schoenheider told Crain’s. "We think there's still strong demand, and supply is constrained. There's very limited construction for large spaces."
