JOLIET, IL — Two months after O'Charleys Irish Pub closed its doors at 117 North Center St., another bar is getting ready to open at the corner of Oneida and Center Streets.

On Wednesday, the city of Joliet's liquor commission reviewed a proposal to transfer the O'Charleys liquor license to another entity.

The new Joliet bar at 117 N. Center St. would be called the Mid Town Tap. After O'Charleys closed, the green building was painted dark blue. The Busch Smooth Refreshing Beer and the Pabst Blue Ribbon Cold Beer signs both remain fixtures on the side of the building along Oneida Street.
