New Joliet Building Underway, 9 Months After Groundbreaking
The Jefferson Street facility on Joliet's west side is planned to open for services sometime this year.

JOLIET, IL — One of West Jefferson Street's last parcels of grass is gone as construction for Joliet's new VNA Health Care is finally underway, nine months after the organization held a groundbreaking ceremony with city of Joliet officials last June.
Construction for Joliet's new 14,000 square foot health center is at 1501 West Jefferson St., which is near the Jewel grocery store and the Old National Bank.
Expected to open later this year, the VNA will have 26 medical exam rooms, a wellness kitchen, waiting areas, laboratory, nursing stations and mental and behavioral health counseling rooms.

At the new facility, VNA physicians and nurse practitioners will offer family practice, obstetrics, pediatrics, and mental and behavioral health. VNA expects to serve 5,000 more patients and complete 25,000 more exams over the next 30 months.
To address the 31.5 percent of the Hispanic/Latino population in Will County that speaks English less than “very well,” VNA’s new Joliet location will offer all services in both English and Spanish with additional languages available through translation services, VNA announced last yer.
