New Joliet Juice Bar Also Offers Sandwiches, Wraps, Tortas And More

JOLIET, IL — More new businesses and restaurants continue to sprout up in downtown Joliet, and the latest addition is the Loko JC Juicy Bar & More. It's located at 3 Ohio Street, right off the busy North Chicago Street. It's across the street from the enormously popular Niko's Pizzeria.

Loko JC focuses on smoothies, tortas, fruit salad bowls and of course, several different juice drinks. It fills the recent vacancy created when one of the Kafe De Kasa locations closed.

At Loko JC, there's orange juice. There's green juice. There's carrot juice, and there's beet juice.

According to the menu, the natural juices sold at Loko JC are "fat burning, detoxifying, to lose weight, to cleanse the liver, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and for Varicose veins."

The 16-oz natural juice cup is $6.50, and the 20 oz cups are $8.50.

The $5.50 smoothies are available in strawberry-banana, strawberry, mango, pineapple-mango, chia, pineapple, Loko strawberry and berries.

The $5 raspados, which are shaved ice, come in the following flavors: mango, guava, tamarind, lemon, eggnog, pecan and pineapple.

For customers who are hungry for something more, Loko JC makes homemade wraps, sandwiches, burrito, elotes, nachos and much more.

Loko JC is closed Mondays and open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.

There's also seating inside the downtown Joliet restaurant.

"Since the first day, oh yeah, people come," one of the Loko JC employees told Joliet Patch during this week's interview. "We're doing pretty good."

According to Google Reviews, Loko JC has garnered three reviews since opening in August.

All three are five stars.

"Smoothies are delicious, the employees are very nice!" a reviewer named Syliva posted.

"Excellent service and everything very rich super recommended!!!" a review from a woman named Evelyn proclaimed.

A woman who works at Loko JC told Patch one of the most popular items on the menu is the fruit salads. "We've got fruit salads that people really like, and mini-pancakes with fruit."

As time goes on, "we're going to put out more salads and more stuff," she added.
