New Will County Jailhouse Blotter

The Joliet Police Department took this man into custody Wednesday.

JOLIET, IL - Crime has been on the rise around Joliet as of late. One Joliet man, Alonzo Gadson, remains at large following last weekend's shooting of three people outside of Eden's Bar and Grill on the city's east side. On Wednesday, the Will County Sheriff's Department spent their entire day piecing together clues regarding the car fire on Rowell Avenue, a fire that was set after the murders of two men, whose burned bodies turned up inside. Meanwhile, your police officers around Joliet and Will County remain busy this week investigating other crimes.

Here's a sampling of new detainees who were put into the Will County Jail on Wednesday, June 27.

RONALD NEWTON, 55, Homer Glen, arrested by Will County on charges of violating an order of protection.

CHRISTOPHER MYRICK, 40, Lockport, arrested by Will County on charges of aggravated assault.

JEREMIAH CLAYTON, 18, 200 block of Reichman Street, Joliet, arrested by Joliet Police on charges of aggravated unlawful use of a gun and possessing a gun in a vehicle-gang member.

MICHAEL SEVERADO, 24, 1100 block of Nowell Avenue, Joliet, arrested by Joliet Police on charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon-loaded, felon in possession of a firearm, felon/escape police officer and possessing a gun/gang member.

JOHN E. WILSON, 21, 20900 block of West Bloomfield Drive, Plainfield, arrested by Romeoville Police on charges of criminal damage $500 to $10,000/to school.

GERALD DAVIS, 44, 300 block of North Ottawa Street apartments, Joliet, arrested by Joliet Police on charges of obstructing justice, aggravated assault and criminal damage to government property.

THEODORE LOPEZ, 53, 1400 block of Waverly Place, Joliet, arrested by Joliet Police on five manufacturing/delivery of cocaine charges from 2016.

ANDREW BELL, 31, Custer Park, arrested by Will County on charges of burglary as well as a parole violation.
