Did you dust off your autograph book when you heard the “news” that Scarlett Johansson is moving to Joliet? Well, you can put it back on the shelf. She’s not coming.

Last week, The Clancy Report said in an article that Johansson was “tired of the L.A. lifestyle” and looking for a change.

“I just want to slow things down a bit and get away from the crazy, hectic life in L.A. I’ve visited the Joliet area a few times over the years and the people there are real… they’re genuine and pretty friendly too and I think those are the things that are most important in deciding where to live,” Johansson said in an interview cited by the website.

Unfortunately, that’s simply not true. If you click on the About section of the website, you’ll find the following disclaimer:

“The Clancy Report is a fantasy news website. All news articles on clancyreport.com are satire or pure fantasy.”

Bummer.

But this isn't the first time fake news like this has spread for Johansson. Earlier in the month, a similar report was published on a similar-looking website. In that instance, she was moving to Oklahoma City.

But maybe it’s for the best. The commenters on the article were not all in favor of Joliet.

“Surrounding areas, such as Plainfield, Lockport and Lemont would be a much nicer place to move than the big city of Joliet,” one person said.

Despite that, others thought it was a great idea.

“Joiiet is a solid town with a great heart and volunteer spirit,” another commenter said.
