Alfred Lee Williams

Age 62, of Joliet, IL and formerly Chicago, IL, died peacefully on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. He was born October 6, 1955, the son of Ideaulia Williams and the late Robert Price, and had resided in Chicago until relocating to Joliet 15 years ago.

In addition to his beloved mother Ideaulia, he is also survived by his wife of 14 years, Diana Williams; children, LaTasha Jones, Alfred Williams, Jr., Alina Williams and Quinton Stanshil; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; step-children, Jamie Kielma and Judi Kozma; four step-grandchildren; siblings, Shirley Price, Renet Veal, Creg Williams, Marilyn Wiley and Henry Williams; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Linda Cates.

Alfred was employed for several years at Apollo Colors in Rockdale, IL. He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, watching sports and was an avid Chicago White Sox fan.

He will be remembered fondly as a people person. You couldn’t say goodbye without a hug and a kiss from Alfred.

Visitation for Alfred Lee Williams will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black at Essington Rds., Joliet, from 9:00 a.m. until funeral services begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park II.
