Age 86 of Plainfield passed away at home on Friday, February 3, 2023, with her sons by her side. She was born in Chicago, the daughter of the late Alfred and Evelyn (Marchi) Benedetti on March 13, 1936.

Arlene is the beloved mother of Carl S. (Anne) Fedele, Jr., Michael A. Fedele, the late David and the late Sam Fedele; loving and devoted grandmother of Sarah Fedele and Jessica (Matthew) Nicola. Also surviving are her sister-in-law, Catherine Breneisen; niece, Deanna Forney and nephew, Jeff Breneisen.

She is preceded in death by her husband Carl S. Fedele Sr.; her parents and siblings.

Arlene, over the years, worked as a secretary at Oak Park Hospital. She will be remembered as a very caring and compassionate Christian Woman who loved her family immensely.

As it was Arlene’s wish cremation rites have been accorded. All friends and family are invited to a Memorial Gathering on Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 11 a.m. until the prayer service begins at 12 Noon at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet.
