Beverly A. Bogdan (nee Marczenia)

Age 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at the River Crossing Nursing Home of Joliet. She was born on July 29, 1938, in Chicago to the late Stephen and Emily (nee Smith) Marczenia, and was a lifelong Joliet area resident.

Bev was an avid bowler, painter, gardener, and lover of all animals. She had families of raccoons, opossums, birds, squirrels, skunks, and the occasional stray cat that visited her nightly to feast on the smorgasbord of nuts, peanut butter, and jelly sandwiches and cat food that she lovingly served up. She was our very own Dr. Dolittle.

Beloved wife of the late Fred A. Bogdan (2008); loving mom of Rick (Stephanie) Bogdan of Florida, Delaine (Jim) Menietti of Joliet, and Steve (Cheryl) Bogdan of Plainfield; dear grandmother of Kylie, Keeghan, Samantha, and Nicholas Bogdan, Jimmy (Cyndi), Kyle and Randi Menietti, and Noah (Katelyn), Jacob and Hannah Bogdan; great-grandmother to Rebekah, Caleb, Aidan, Lainie, and Zuri.

Preceded in death by her husband; an infant daughter, Randy Marie; and her parents.

A Memorial Service for Beverly A. Bogdan will be Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home chapel, Joliet. The family will receive friends and relatives from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
