Beverly J. McCanna, age 91, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at the Lightways Hospice Home in Joliet. Beverly was born in Joliet on February 19, 1933. She lived for many years at her home in Kankakee, just off the Kankakee River. Beverly worked for the Simon Box Factory in Joliet for many years. Since retirement, she enjoyed bowling in leagues with her sister, Sandy.

Beverly is survived by her sister, Sandra Cavanaugh; her grandson, Adam McCanna; her nieces, Valerie (the late William) Stirbis and Patricia (Rick) Wingerter; and her nephew, Eddie (Misty) Cavanaugh.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Emmett McCanna, Sr.; her son, Emmett McCanna, Jr.; her parents, Elmer and Alma (nee Schultz) Carlson; her sister, Delores Wilder; and her brothers, Elmer Carlson and William Carlson.

Funeral services for Beverly were held privately, and she was laid to rest next to her late husband, Emmett at Woodlawn Memorial Park II.
