He will be remembered for his great sense of humor along with his humble attitude. He loved grilling and cooking for friends and family. Bobby had a true love for watching sports and was always ready for a great debate about any and everything. Bowling for Bobby was not just a pastime, but a way of life. He bowled in various tournaments and leagues locally and throughout the US. You could often find Bobby reading a good book or scrolling the internet for the latest news, recipes, sports stats, or random things of interest. Anyone close to him knew Bobby had a love for music, but his favorite was the Blues.

The thing he loved and cherished the most was his family whether it was visiting, talking on the phone with his brothers and sister daily, loving and advising his sons, speaking proudly of his grand and great-grandkids, or spending personal time with his beloved wife, Sharon. He also shared a special bond with his childhood friends, Jake, I.V., Portia, Carylon, and Linda. He was known his entire life for doing things his way and never surrendered his fighting spirit even until his final breath. Bobby will be loved, cherished, missed, and remembered by those who knew him until we meet again with all our loved ones in paradise.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Harris of Plainfield; his loving children, Tracy, Kivin, Toriano, Devone and Moshe; grandchildren, Kellie, Kivin, Jared, Dyon, Darnell, Moshe Jr, Kearra, Bobby, Treymon, Donyea, Daveia, Anajah, Richard (RJ), Jawon, Breonna, and Leeland; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Albert (Ann), Lloyd (Tina), Donald (Barbara); sister, Connie Anderson; sister-in-law, Dorothy; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, John and Magnolia Harris, brothers, John Jr. and Ronald (Yvonne); and sister, Mary Hunt.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Joliet Elks Lodge, 250 S.E. Frontage Road, Joliet, IL 60431, where a Memorial Service will begin at 2:30 p.m., and will be followed by a reception until 7:00 p.m.

Cremation rites have been accorded and interment will be private.
