Obituary: Constance J. Dillon

She was a woman of faith who loved deeply.

Obituary was published and funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home and Crematory.

Constance J. Dillon

Constance J. “Connie” Dillon was born on April 29, 1940, to the union of J.B. and Roberta (nee Tisdale) Dillon. She entered into eternal life at home surrounded by her loving family on December 10, 2024.

Connie was employed with the Federal Government for 36 years. She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Second Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend T. Moore King. Connie served in many positions at the church including junior usher, choir member, Sunday School superintendent, musician, Sunday School teacher, and trustee.

Connie leaves to cherish her memories, one brother, Robert James (the late Ruth Ann) Dillon; numerous nieces and nephews including Dawn Peacher, Tanya (George) Wormely, Robert C. (Shannon) Dillon, Pilar (the late Brian) Buldak, Kai Jackson-Issa, and Cort Jackson; and special friend, Lawuana Foster (Bill) Wade. She also leaves behind her special cousin, Margo McCormick.

Visitation for Connie Dillon will be held Friday, December 20, 2024, at the Second Baptist Church, 156 S. Joliet St, Joliet, IL from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held the following morning, Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the Second Baptist Church, where she will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Elmhurst Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, Joliet.
