Corinne McLeod
Age 46, of Joliet, Illinois, passed away Friday, August 1, 2025, at St. Joseph Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Corinne was born on September 23, 1978 to adoring parents Michel and Gaetane (De Champlain) Potvin in Quebec, Canada. Corinne spent her childhood in Chicoutimi, until relocating to Montreal to further her education at Ecole Polytechnique De Montreal University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in manufacturing engineering to begin a well rounded career as an engineer.

While attending university, Corinne enjoyed spending her free time indulging in online gaming, this is how she met the love of her life, Zachary McLeod. Corinne and Zach dated for 5 years before tying the knot and beginning their lives together in 2009.
Corinne was the epitome of a hard worker, whether it was in employment or always finding the best travel deals, allowing her and Zach to travel extensively together. As a devoted couple, they were able to travel extensively across the northern hemisphere together from Alaska and Canada, to Mexico and Panama, or relaxing on a cruise. Corinne found pleasure creating beautiful memories in any location she was at, including the many annual trips to Gencon in Indianapolis, which she and Zach were able to attend together.

Corinne is survived by her loving husband; her parents; her mother-in-law, Loreen McLeod; one brother, Sebastian (Melanie) Potvin; and nephews, Guillome, Benjamin, and Camille.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Marie-Paule Simard; and her father-in-law, Ray McLeod.
Visitation for Corinne McLeod will be on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 4:30 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd (at Essington Rd) Joliet followed by a prayer service at 8:00 p.m. to conclude the evening.
As it was Corinne's wish cremation rites will be accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name can be made to Autism Speaks.
