Darlene Joy Redman, passed away peacefully at the age of 85, on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Lightways Hospice, surrounded by the love of her family. Darlene was born on August 27, 1937, the daughter of the late Frank and Emily (nee Armbrust) Heiden. Born and raised in Joliet, Darlene was a graduate of Plainfield Township High School. She enjoyed a long career as a bookkeeper and office manager. Darlene enjoyed spending time outdoors, tending to her garden and any quality time she could get with her family. There will be a void left in the hearts of all she loved.

Darlene is survived by her children, Adele (Frank) Hathcock and Frank (Karen) Redman; her longtime partner, David Reichardt; grandchildren, Joshua (Amanda) Redman, Sara (Nick) Widmer; Emily (Doug) Urbaniak, and Michael Redman; great-grandchildren, Henry Widmer, Ryan Redman, Molly Redman, and Bennett Urbaniak; and one brother, Dale Heiden. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

She is preceded by her husband, George Redman; her parents; and her brother, Melvin Heiden.

Funeral Services for Darlene Joy Redman were held privately by the family and inurnment will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Lightways Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431 would be appreciated.
