Edith Lawrence (nee Ulrich), age 92 of Joliet, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center. She was born May 15, 1930 to the late Clara (Dorr) and Francis “Frank” Ulrich in Joliet where she resided her entire life.
She is the beloved mother of Bernard (Catherine) Lawrence, Kathleen (Donald) Black, Jeanne Lawrence (Alan), John (Rita) Lawrence, Bonnie (Michael) Metallo and the late Sharon Lawrence; loving grandmother of Bryan (Jill) Black, Timothy (Lisa) Black, Katie (Dan) Keller, Jack (Kristen) Lawrence, Charles Lawrence, Mike (Katie) Metallo and Jim Metallo; dearest great-grandmother of Lyndsay, Megan, Derek, Madison, Owen, Olivia, Madelyn, Reed, Ryan, Matthew, Jackson and Jonathan. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Lawrence, her daughter Sharon Lawrence, granddaughter, Kimberly Black, her parents and siblings, Therese (Rudy) Czichon, Francis “Bud” (Catherine “Kay”) Ulrich and Loretta (Richard) Studer.
Funeral services and Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery will be held privately.
