Edward P. Becker
Edward Peter Becker, age 68, of Plainfield, passed away unexpectedly Monday, October 24, 2022 at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet.

Born May 22, 1954 in Chicago, he was the son of the late Edward Herman and Rosalie V. (Buffalo) Becker and was a 1972 graduate of Hubbard High School. He worked as a press operator and in other capacities for the former William Wrigley, Jr. Company, now Mars-Wrigley for 42 years, retiring in 2018.
Ed was a devoted family man who dearly loved his kids and grandkids. He was well liked and was a friend to many. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and was always willing to help anyone in need.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 46 years, Sharon M. (Moore) Becker of Plainfield; two sons, Joseph (Stephany) Becker of Wilmington, and Andrew Becker of Plainfield; two grandchildren, Tyler and Aubrey; two sisters, Sandie (Dan) Herring and Stephanie (Steven) Lihosit; one brother, David (Maureen) Becker; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Edward Becker will be held Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet. Funeral services will be Friday, October 28. 2022 at 9:15 a.m., from the funeral home to Holy Family Catholic Church, Shorewood, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following services and interment will be private.
