Elizabeth Waters, lovingly know as Lisa by family and friends, age 44, of Plainfield, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Rush-Copley Medical Center, Aurora, with her loving family by her side.

Born November 5, 1977 in Chicago, she was the daughter of Jesus and Juana (Barajas) Diaz. She was a graduate of Steinmetz High School, and continued her education at Triton College. Lisa was an EMTB, and she and her husband, Tamaine, owned and operated Mobile Health and Testing Services.
Lisa and Tamaine met in high school at age 15, were high school sweethearts, and soul mates throughout their 22 years of marriage. She was a great wife and an even better mother. She lived for her children and they were her everything and her highest priority.

Lisa also loved to travel and savored every moment spent on the beach and near the water. She tried to make the best experience out of every family activity and adventure.
She will be remembered for her big brown eyes, rosy cheeks, dazzling smile, and beautiful hair. Her pure presence, heart of gold, and genuine work ethic will never be forgotten. Her passing is a tremendous loss to all those who loved and cared for her, and no one will ever be able to take her place.
Surviving are her beloved husband, Tamaine Waters; her adoring children, Adriana, A. J., Natalie and Nicholas; her loving parents, Jesus and Juana Diaz; three fond brothers, Eduardo (fiancé Richard Sigal) Diaz, Jesus Diaz, Jr., and Daniel (Angela) Diaz; one dear nephew, Antonio Diaz; and her husband’s extended family.
Visitation for Elizabeth Waters will be held Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 22, at 9:30 a.m., from the funeral home to St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, Plainfield, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private.
