Obituary: Janet R. Busch
Member of All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, serving in the Philoptochos Society, passes away at age 73.

Janet R. Busch (1951-2025)
Janet R. Busch, age 73, at rest Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Oklahoma City to the late Jack and Alice (nee McNeer) Pace. Janet graduated from Westview High School in Kankakee and the University of St. Francis in Joliet, where she received a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Janet worked in banking and accounting in small towns prior to caring for family in Joliet and ultimately retiring. She was a member of All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, serving in the Philoptochos Society. Janet was a generous and accomplished cook who loved sharing recipes, crafts, and traveling. She thoroughly enjoyed time with her canine companion and was completely devoted to her family.
Janet is survived by two sons, Joshua Busch of Minneapolis, MN and Jeremiah (Katie) Busch of Arlington, VA; two brothers, Jack Pace of Mandeville, LA and Gifford (Julie) Pace of Marietta, GA; granddaughter Emma Busch; and many beloved relatives also survive.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, William A. Busch Jr. of Joliet.
Pallbearers will be Gifford Pace, William Kinley, Joe Kinley, Jerry Jones, Jeff Jones, and Jim Jones, with Jack Pace as an honorary pallbearer
Visitation for Janet R. Busch will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL with Trisagion Services at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Friday, January 10, 2025, at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, 102 N. Broadway, Joliet for services at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to All Saints Greek Orthodox Church or Will County Humane Society.
