Obituary: Jeffrey J. Polich

His spirited soul and passion for life's simple joys will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Obituary was published and funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home and Crematory.

Jeffrey J. Polich

Jeffrey J. Polich, of Crest Hill, IL, passed away suddenly on September 3, 2025, at the age of 38. Jeffrey was born on January 23, 1987, the beloved son of James and Sharon (nee Bagenski) Polich. He was a proud graduate of Lockport Township High School Class of 2005.

Jeffrey loved to draw, cherished fishing trips, and loved the friendly competition of a game of frisbee golf, and basketball. He especially treasured time spent playing catch with his son. Above all, he deeply loved his children. His greatest happiness came from being their father, and he celebrated every milestone with pride-most especially his daughters’ Sweet 16 birthdays, and high school graduation which he marked with love and joy.

Jeffrey is survived by his loving parents, James and Sharon Polich; his children, Madison, Bailey, Jacob, and Jordan; brother, James (Kathryn) Polich; niece and nephews, David, Adam, Sarah, and Michael; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his fiancé, Jessica Fitzgibbon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his children.

Visitation for Jeffrey J. Polich will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd) Joliet. A service of remembrance will begin Friday evening, at 5:00 p.m. Due to his request, cremation rites will be accorded following services.
