Jindriska Barton, age 73, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, February 12, 2021, surrounded by the love of her family. Ishka was born in the Czech Republic on July 10, 1947, the daughter of the late Vaclav and Bozena (nee Mikulik) Vins. Ishka grew up in Prague and was a strong, independent woman. She was the owner of numerous J.B. Thrift Stores having in numerous locations, including Joliet, Aurora, and Plano. She retired in 2014. When she wasn’t hard at work she enjoyed cooking, listening to music, dancing, browsing antique shops, and spending time with her family.
Ishka is survived by her children, Larry Petrak, Daniel (Samantha) Petrak, and Vendula Bailey; grandchildren, Anthony Petrak, John Bailey, Nicholas Petrak, Teana Petrak, Lexi Petrak, and Jensen Petrak; great-granddaughter, Leighton Bailey; brother, Jirka Stech; and her stepfather, Jiri Mikulik. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

She is preceded by her loving husband of almost 30 years, Jiri Joe Barton; her parents; and her siblings, Vaclav Vins, Bozena Sojka, and Dana Rosserla.
A Memorial Gathering for Jindriska Barton will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2021, at Industry Tap House, 3115 W. Jefferson St
Joliet, IL 60435. As it was her request, cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to her Go Fund Me page would be appreciated.
