Joseph W. Miller, Jr.
Age 84, formerly of Plainfield, Illinois, passed from this life early Monday morning, August 11, 2025, in Waukegan, Illinois.

He was born on December 15, 1940, to the late Dorothy Konow and Joseph W. Miller. Joe was raised in the Lockport/Homer area and was a graduate of Lockport Township High School. A longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church, you could often find Joe cutting the church lawn over the years.
Surviving are his son and daughters, Timothy (Chris) Miller, Wendy Theves, and Jodene (Gary) Bick; sister, Leona (Bob Swanson) Enix. He will also be missed by his "sweetheart", Carmen Kehrer, as well as his aunt, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
Joe retired from Caterpillar Inc after many years of dedicated service. His hobbies included flying, riding his Harley Davidson, watching old westerns, vacationing in Wisconsin and snowmobiling. He was instrumental in starting an Illinois snowmobilers club some years ago.
Funeral services for Joseph Miller will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, 2650 Plainfield Rd., in Joliet, on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, where visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until services begin at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at West Lisbon Cemetery in Newark.
