Age 93, of Joliet, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at Lakeshore Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Joliet, Illinois. She was born in Joliet April 20,1927 and a resident her entire life. She retired from Caterpillar Inc. following 33 years of service. Josephine was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Joliet.

Preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Richard Shiffer; her parents, Joseph and Frances Sukle; her brother, Joseph J. Sukle; her sister, Frances R. Moore.

She is also survived by her son Richard J. Allen, two nephews Brian J. Moore(wife Paula and grand nieces Mary Kate and Victoria Moore), and Terrance R. Moore(Cathy and grandnephew Matthew).
