Judith M. (Mulvey) Wetherbee
Judith M. (Mulvey) Wetherbee, born April 24, 1937, in Joliet, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She lived a life marked by loyalty, humor, quiet strength, and a deep devotion to the people and pastimes she loved.
A devoted wife, mother, and lifelong sports enthusiast, Judith left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She was proud to have been an associate member of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League, whose history remains an enduring part of American sports.
Judith married Elmer "Ted" N. Wetherbee, with whom she shared a life built on partnership, family, and love. Together they raised two children, Joy A. Druhan (Wetherbee) and Mark N. Wetherbee, who were the center of her world.
She was an avid Chicago White Sox fan, rarely missing a game and cheering with such passion that her fandom became part of her identity. Whether celebrating a win or lamenting a difficult loss, Judith, found joy in the team, the sport, and the community around it.
Judith will also be remembered as a spectacular whistler, a gift that reflected the brightness and character she brought into everyday moments. Her warmth, steady presence, and caring nature made others feel valued, welcomed, and loved.
Her legacy lives on in her children, extended family, and all who were touched by her kindness. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A private service will be held by the family.
