Kenneth J. Moore

Kenneth J. Moore, age 68, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Lee Manor Assisted Living in Des Plaines, IL. Kenny was born in Chicago, IL on April 13, 1955. He was the son of the late Arthur J. and Frances M. (nee Sullivan) Moore. He was a graduate of Holy Cross High School and attended St. Ambrose College receiving his Bachelor’s degree.

Kenny is survived by his siblings, Thomas P. (Christine) Moore of Estes Park, CO, Barbara F. (James) Devereux of Shorewood and Lawrence S. Moore of Des Plaines; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Arthur J. Moore, III; his sister, Nancy J. Moore; and one nephew, James P. Devereux.

Kenny will be remembered for his quiet demeanor and smile. While he spoke softly, he often left us laughing with his sense of humor. He was the master chef at back yard barbecues which he loved to do as much as we enjoyed them. He will always be in our hearts.

As it was Kenny’s wish, cremation rites have been accorded and interment will take place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL, at a later date.
