Obituary: Linda Marie Winkler

Linda Marie Winkler, age 69, of rural Minooka, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

Linda Marie Winkler, age 69, of rural Minooka, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Lightways Hospice Home in Joliet surrounded by the love of her family.

Linda was born on September 16, 1956, to the late Raymond and Loretta (Lipinski) Siwinski.She met Wayne Winkler where they both worked and insisted they date for several years first to make sure he was the one, which was determined prior to their marriage in 1983.They've been inseparable ever since. She spent 20 years as an operator including being a farmer’s wife.

Linda and Wayne loved to travel, whether it was for farm shows or enjoying the sights of the Hawaiian Islands, their many trips to Colorado skiing or even to Austria to ski.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Winkler; her siblings, Rita Siwinski, Jerry (Bobbi) Siwinski, Ken (Jill) Siwinski, Barb (Mike) Bersano, Cathy (Tad) Dabrowski, and Dan (Karen) Siwinski; her brother-in-law, Edward (Linda Sue) Winkler along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Larry (Mickie) and Raymond Siwinski.

Linda will be remembered fondly as a warm hearted soul who was always looking out for others.

Visitation for Linda will be Monday, March 30, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until a funeral service at 12 Noon at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive in Morris. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society or Lightways Hospice would be appreciated.
