Peggy Gould, age 88, of Joliet, passed away suddenly, at home, on Friday, October 12, 2018.

Peggy was born on March 3, 1930 in Joliet, IL, to Cecil and Genevieve (nee Latz) Smith. She enjoyed ceramics, painting, attending to her plants and was an avid animal lover.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be truly missed. She was a kind and love hearted person.

She was the beloved mother of two sons, Bill (Rita) Smith and Douglas (Christine) Gould; Grandmother of five, Michael (Janet) Smith, Kandi (John) Hardy, Wendy Smith, Julian Gould and Joshua Gould; Great-Grandmother of six, Michael, Joe, and Genevieve Smith, and Lillian, Jonathan, and Gwendolyn Hardy; Sisters to Edith “Toots” Jurisic, Elaine Scholtes and Patricia Kollman; and Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward “Ted” Gould (Feb. 14, 1993).

Visitation for Peggy Gould will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
