Margaret P. Trautner, of Joliet, passed away peacefully at the age of 69, on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family. Midge was born to the late Cyril Sr. and Alice (nee Parker) Skole on January 10, 1953, in Joliet and was a lifelong resident. She was employed at Ascension Hospital and retired after 24 dedicated years.

In her free time, Midge loved tending to her garden and in the heat of summer, you could always smell the scent of her beautiful wildflowers.

She is survived by her loving children, Renee (Dominick) Mazza, Chrissy (Scott) Lawrence, and Nick (Lisa) Farris; six grandchildren, Alice Farris, Ryan (Marissa) Farris, Andrea Lowry, Kiersten Debold, Nicholas, and Isabella Mazza; two great-grandchildren, Abigail Severson and Chester Farris; two sisters, Barbara (Edward) Mucha and Diane Swanson; brother, Sonny (Maryanne) Skole; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by her devoted canine companion, “Baby Boy”, who always held a special place in her heart.

Midge is preceded by her parents; and one nephew, Scott Swanson.

Visitation for Margaret P. Trautner will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of prayers at 5:00 p.m. As it was Midge’s wish, cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
