Her quick wit and continuous laughter will be missed by all. At 93 she could still beat you playing cards and Scrabble. Her famous apple pie was in high demand and a family favorite! She would randomly call and say, “I’ve got a pie in the oven”, and we knew we were in for a special treat. Often attempted, but never duplicated, the recipe is still a mystery today.

She never missed sending birthday and anniversary wishes and kept every letter or card sent to her. She was quite a puzzler and enjoyed arts and crafts. What brought her most joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

We are grateful for every moment shared and every memory made.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Marlene privately, followed by internment near her beloved husband, Irving, at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Marlene's name can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
