(nee Georgoulakis)

Age 95, of Plainfield and formerly Aurora, Illinois, passed peacefully, Tuesday evening, March 25, 2025.

Mary was born February 6, 1930, to the late Stephania (nee Koutsaftakis) and Gus Georgoulakis in Joliet, Illinois, where she was raised and educated, a graduate with the class of 1947 from Joliet Township High School. She attended Joliet Junior College earning an Associate’s degree in 1949.

She is the beloved mother of Georgia Anast, Stephan Anast and Connie (Angela Slusher) Anast; dearest grandmother of Kevin Stebbings. Also surviving are her sisters, Aspasia (Donald) Nelson and Theodora (late Donald) Kelly; as well as many nieces, nephews, a great niece, great nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Nicholas Georges and John Georgoulakis and nephew, James Paul Kelly.

All friends and relatives are invited to gather at Woodlawn Memorial Park on Friday March 28, 2025, where graveside services will begin at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
