Born June 10, 1980 in Berwyn, she was the daughter of Fred J. III (deceased) and Shirley A. (Pikul) Tagliere.

Melanie was a loving and devoted mother, daughter and sister who will be remembered for her big heart, stubbornness, and perseverance. Melanie stood up for what was right and spoke up for herself and others whenever necessary. In addition, she was a strong and independent woman who raised her family on her own, putting her kids first, and serving as their protector. There was never any question how much she loved her children. She was also an avid Chicago Cubs fan, and loved following “Days of Our Lives.”
