Nicholas J. "Nick" Koehler, age 36, of Channahon and formerly of Morris, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. Born December 21, 1985, to Adele (nee Kirchner) and the late Mark A. Koehler.
Nicholas grew up in Morris and attended Morris Schools, graduating from Morris High School with the class of 2004. He was an athlete and was active with the Morris High School football and basketball teams.

He worked for INEOS Enterprises, Joliet, IL.
Nick was an avid gun collector and could be found during fall season cheering on the Chicago Bears. He enjoyed golfing and playing basketball. Most of all he cherished being a husband and dad to his two adoring sons.

He was the “Gentle Giant” and was known to be a person friends could rely on.
Survived by his loving wife of 5 years, but had been together for 15 years, Stefanie (nee Salzmann); his two children, Beckett and Emerick Koehler; his mother, Adele Koehler; his brother, David (Erica) Koehler; his aunts, Arlene (John) Bell, Audrey Boyd, and Anita (Don) Revelle; nieces, Madisyn, Carmella, and Colette Koehler; mother-in-law, Dayna Salzmann; sister-in-law, Ashley (Joseph) Meador and brother-in-law, Glenn “Bucko” (Ashley Lindemuth) Salzmann, Jr.; nephews, Aidan, Easton, and Leighton Meador. Many cousins and dear friends also survive.
He is preceded by his father, Mark A. Koehler, and his father-in-law, Glenn A. Salzmann, Sr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to set up a future fund for his sons.
Visitation for Nicholas Koehler will be Monday, September 26, 2022, at 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Route 6 at Deerpath Drive in Morris. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. As it was his wish, cremation rites will be accorded following services.
