Obituary: Patricia A. Bolos

Her life was one marked by warmth, compassion, and deep devotion to her family and community.

Patricia A. Bolos (nee Peterson)

Patricia A. Bolos passed away peacefully at the age of 73, on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Bolingbrook Hospital. She was born on October 6, 1951, in Loredo, Texas, to the late Silas Gayheart and Anita Charles (nee Pena) Peterson. Her life was one marked by warmth, compassion, and deep devotion to her family and community.

Patricia grew up in Loredo, and was a graduate of Newark High School. She enjoyed playing tennis, and could often be found challenging herself to a puzzle and took pleasure in going to the movies.

Patricia found fulfillment in her rewarding career at Hinsdale hospital, where she worked in registration. She was also employed at Walmart, where she was in charge of the fitting rooms.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Robert J. Bolos, Sr., and was a cherished mother to her son, Robert J. Bolos, Jr. She found great joy in being a grandmother and was deeply proud of her grandchildren: Averleigh, Hunter, and Hudson Bolos. She is also survived by her siblings, Linda Bartlett, James (Jennifer) Peterson, Steven Peterson, Denise Morris, and Diane (Clarence) Anderson. Patricia’s extended family includes numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.

Those who knew Patricia will remember her as a gentle presence and a source of strength and comfort. Her legacy is one of love and quiet grace, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Funeral Services for Patricia A. Bolos will be held privately by the family. As it was her request, cremation rites have been accorded.
