Patricia M. Kapella (nee Paris)

Patricia M. Kapella, age 85, passed away on April 10, 2024, with her loving family by her side. She was born May 29, 1938, in Joliet, IL, to John and Mary (Vitus) Paris, and was a graduate of St. Francis Academy.

Patricia is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Graves, Tammie (Joe) Bardowski and Jennifer (Henry) Winter; grandchildren, Patricia (Ray) Harris, Sarah (James) Kok, Jill (Austin) Babich, Holly (Chris) Bardowski and Kimberly Winter; great-grandchildren, Dakota, Ciera and Bailey (Giovanni) Creed, Jaylyn, Riley and Jace Kok, Hudson and Brielle Babich; great-great-granddaughter, Raelynn Creed; and her sister, Bea (Bill) Ryan.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John Jr. and Raymond Paris; sister, Jean Gruben; son-in-law, Robert Graves; and best friend Ruth Webb.

Patricia loved her Chicago Bears and beloved Chicago Cubs. Watching the Cubs win the World Series was a highlight of her life. She loved gardening, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

Pat’s family will be celebrating her life privately.
