Obituary: Rocco W. Guglielmucci
Family-loving man and longtime Joliet Resident passes away at age 82.

Obituary was published and funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home and Crematory.
Rocco W. Guglielmucci, age 82, of Joliet, IL, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 17, 2023. He was born March 15, 1941, in Joliet the son of the late Pasquale and Gertrude (nee Bluth) Guglielmucci. Rocco was raised in Joliet and attended Joliet Catholic High School. On June 10, 1961, he married the loved of his life Carol Siddon at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Rocco retired from Statesville as a plumbing foreman, and was a 50-year member of the Plumber’s Local 422 and Pipefitters Local 597 Unions. He was an avid fisherman and racing fan from an early age. Rocco loved being with his family, he coached girls softball and was a member of the Moran Athletic Club.

He is survived by his loving wife Carol; daughters, Mary Beth Fende (Craig Neimi), DeAnn (Jim) Talbot; grandchildren, Ryan Petrilla “ his number 1”, John (Amber) Fende, Jr. “ the one who called his grandpa “Grandpappy Joe””, JamiAnn Talbot (Sean Vaughan) “ grandpa’s little girl”, Jennifer Stewart, and April Talbot; great-grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jordan Fende, Elyssa, Katelyn, Brittney, Stephanie, and Amber; special sister-in-law, Joyce Chirich; dear friend and fishing buddy, Jerome “The Pole” Levandowski; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

Rocco was preceded in death by his grandson James Patrick Talbot; brothers, Michael P. Guglielmucci, and Richard Guglielmucci; and special brother-in-law Sam Chirich.
A Memorial Gathering for Roccco W. Guglielmucci will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Cremation rites have been accorded and interment will be private.
