Ronald F. Mancal, age 81, of Joliet, passed away Monday, September 26, 2022 at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet, with his loving family by his side.

Born June 21, 1941 in Chicago, he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Holman) Mancal, and was a graduate of the Chicago Art Institute.

Ron was a talented and gifted artist, writer and creator. He applied his many skills as a publisher and as the owner and operator of Manol Publications. He was the proud author of the book, “In Memory of Richard J. Daley.” Ron was also an avid collector of watches, jewelry, art and antiques, and enjoyed cars and boating.

He will be remembered for his love for and devotion to his wife, Susan.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Susan M. (Zabel) Mancal; three step-children, Stacy (Richard) Fritz, Stephany (Joseph) Becker, and Shane Emerick; and four grandchildren, Tyler, Kayley, Noah and Aubrey.
