A veteran of the United States Air Force passes away at the age of 79.

Ted A. Anno
Ted Anno, age 79, passed away at home with his daughter at his side on February 27, 2023. Ted was born in Winnemucca, NV on January 3, 1944 to the late James and Margaret (nee Walker) Anno. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving through the beginning of the Vietnam Conflict. He later returned to the military with his sons as members of the 233rd Engineering Company of the Army National Guard out of Marseilles. He spent many years working as an electronics technician for AT&T. On April 8th, 1967 Ted married Cynthia Malik, and the two enjoyed nearly 53 years of marriage before her passing in 2020. Together they traveled the country with their camper in tow. Ted enjoyed fishing and shooting, along with metal detecting. When he needed downtime, he could be found in his favorite chair watching a western or a football game. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandpa, and great-grandpa. He will be greatly missed.

Ted is survived by two of his children, Stacei Anno-Jordan and Bret (Carol) Anno; his five grandchildren, Bryce (Jess) Jordan, Makayla Jordan, Taylor (Jacob) Johnson, Matthew and Johnathan Anno; three great-grandchildren, Braiden, Arya, and Bjorn Johnson; his brother, Dennis (Velda) Anno; sister-in-law Joyce (Robert) Sherwood; brother-in-law, John Drancik; and many extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Anno; his son, Todd Anno; his parents, James and Margaret Anno; his sisters, Sherry (Leonard) Pendergrass and Margaret (Richard) Barnes; and his sister-in-law, Janice Drancik.

Visitation for Ted Anno will be Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 10:30 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington), Joliet. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet with full military honors conducted by the United States Air Force.
