Timothy Yracheta, Jr.

Timothy Yracheta, Jr., age 72, of Oak Lawn, passed away peacefully, Monday, September 1, 2025 at Lightways Hospice, with his loving family by his side.

Born February 11, 1953 in Chicago, he was the son of Timothy and Liz Yracheta, and was a graduate of DeVry University. Tim worked in various capacities in the electronics industry, most recently as a Computer Aided Design Engineer.

Timothy, known as Tank to those close to him, will be remembered for his sense of humor and telling of his favorite 'dad' jokes. When he wasn't joking around, he was affectionately talking about his dogs. A dog lover by nature, he had many throughout his life but was especially fond of his recent ones, Holly, Opal and Harley. But what stands out most was his love for fishing, which he shared with his beloved grandsons.

Surviving are his sons, Nicholas (Alexis) Yracheta of Joliet, and Timothy Yracheta, III, of Tinley Park; three grandchildren, Jaxon, Nixon, and Zayn; his mother, Liz (John) Engberg; two sisters, Juanita (Michael) Werth and Lesa Engberg; and two nephews, Michael and Daniel Werth.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne; his grandson, Calix; and his father, Timothy.

In lieu of flowers or cards, the family suggests honoring Timothy’s memory by making a donation in his name to a local 4H Club fishing program, local Scouting organization fishing merit badge program, or a local animal shelter to support the dogs in their care.
