Age 87, of Joliet, IL passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2020. He was born August 20, 1932 to the late Stavroula "Sadie" (Demopoulos) and Pericles Kalamaras in Chicago, IL where he was raised and educated.
Bill ran a meat packing plant in his younger years, known as Appollo Meat Packaging of Chicago. He then began a very successful career as a restaurateur around the north suburban Chicagoland area, operating former familiar eateries including Rupert's, the Living Room and Doc Weeds. Long hours and adaptability in the front and back of "the house" were no stranger to Bill, all in the name of his clientele enjoying a great dining experience.

He is survived by his sister, Georgene (the late George) Dimas; children, Perry, George, Lisa, Stacey, Vincent and Christopher Kalamaras; his longtime dear friend, Cheryl Haught and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gust (Mary) and Alex (Penny) Kalamaras.
