Obituary: William R. Krueger

Proud Marine Corps veteran, husband and father worked in the collections industry.

William R. Krueger, age 72, late of Plainfield, and formerly of Chicago, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Seasons Hospice of Naperville with his loving family by his side.

Born July 13, 1946 in Chicago, he was the son of the late Raymond and Clara (nee Weimer) Krueger. He was a graduate of the former St. George High School, Evanston, DePaul University, and was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Bill worked as a manager in the collections industry.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Terri L. (nee Castle) Krueger of Plainfield; his children, Joe Jones of Maui, Hawaii, and Jennifer (Jeremiah) Reitz of Shorewood; two grandchildren, Emily and Joshua; one sister, Patricia (Gary) Garsee of Arizona; one brother, David R. Krueger of Chicago; his wife's parents, Ronald and Diane Castle of Thompsonville, MI; his brother-in-law, Leigh (Robyn) Castle; and four nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Gathering for William Krueger will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet, where a Memorial Service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Cremation rites have been accorded and interment in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery will be private.
